How we can help you
By combining our services, logistics with maritime skills from shipping and offshore support, we provide tailored solutions for the Ocean Industries.
New ocean-based activities are being developed
The oceans are increasingly seen as the future source of food and replacement for scarce land-based resources. New ocean-based activities such as aquaculture, offshore wind energy and subsea mining, are now being developed to cover more of the needs of a growing global population. For Norway, controlling about 70% of Europe’s continental shelf, the use of the ocean has always been key to our livelyhood, the primary source of our wealth and know-how.
How we serve the Ocean Industries
Today, we have a broad range of activities which naturally support this Industry. We offer individual services or comprehensive solutions covering several products.
Maritime Logistics
Tschudi Logistics, in addition to being an independent third party provider of tailor-made logistics solutions, play an essential part in supporting all sister companies in their activities wherever they operate.
Commercial Management
Tschudi's long-standing track record from the offshore and towage market continues in commercial management. We offer specialised services to a wide range of vessels, ranging from multi-purpose to ocean-going tugs and offshore support.
With a long history as shipowners, we take full responsibility for your assets as if they were our own. We follow up throughout the project including purchase and decommissioning with sale and delivery, while maintaining full transparency and accountability at all times.
Currently our Dutch and Estonian teams manage vessels and floatels operating in the oil & gas and renewables sector. Vessel employment can be time-charter (bareboat), voyage-charter and spot contracts.
We take care of all responsibilities and challenges, enabling you to focus on day-to-day operations.
More information about our impressive work and the expertise we offer is available in our Articles section.
Technical Management
Tschudi Ship Management provides technical management for a variety of vessel types and technical support for customers’ projects. We have competence and experience from adapting to new market situations, such as conversions from conventional to specialised vessels.
We have pioneered in the offshore wind industry, with several conversions. The converted DP Galyna and DP Gezina are under our technical ship management.
We were assigned the task of completing the conversion of MV Bluefort from a former car/passenger ferry into an accommodation vessel with helicopter platform and service boat ramp. MV Bluefort was previously under our Technical and Crew Management.

Renewable Offshore Energy
With a particular focus on the renewables energy industry, we are pleased to be serving many of the largest operators in offshore wind. Since 2012, Tschudi Ship Management has supported more than 50 projects in this sector. All operations have been conducted with an impeccable safety record. Ship-to-Ship Transshipments
We specialise in transshipment of LNG, crude oil and petroleum products. This optimizes the utilisation of expensive specialised tankers by reducing the transportation distances and cost.
The world’s largest LNG STS project with more than 130 operations, including three parallel operations, was conducted in Honningsvåg during the winters of 2019 and 2020. All transshipments are done under the strictest regime and we are proud of our excellent safety record.
This is a good example of how we draw on the various skills of the Group. By combining logistics, our vast experience from offshore and towage, preventive maintenance, SHEQ implementation and documentation we provide clients with complete STS solutions.
Aquaculture support
Skjervøy is the home port in northern Norway for Tschudi Marine Services. From our base we provide a range of maritime services (sea and land based) to local industries.
Tschudi Marine Services design and produce aluminium containers for storage and transport of fish farming nets for sale or rent.
Having our own on-site workshop in Skjervøy enables us to offer additional services - welding, mechanical tasks, underwater inspections, winter lay-up and any general repairs that may arise. No task is too big or small.
Floating Industrial Plants
Logistics is important for any volume-based industry. Sometimes, an expensive logistics solution can make a commodity project unsustainable. The use of floating industrial plants can bring the factory to the source of the raw material, and reduce the handling cost for marginal resources. An example of this is Tschudi Bio Company’s project to install a wood processing plant extracting wood molasses from waste wood on mobile floating platforms.
